Intron Health provides clinical speech recognition for 240 accents spoken in developing countries starting with Africa, providing up to 7x documentation speed up, and saving overworked doctors 3hrs per day so they can focus better on patient care. We integrate this speech-to-text technology into our EMR, further cutting over 60% of administrative paperwork, improving operational efficiency, and enabling real-time disease surveillance.

Job Overview:
We are looking for a proactive, intelligent, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Product Lead to manage our voice-based AI solutions, with a focus on working with partners, collaborators, client organizations and users to derive maximal value from cutting-edge technology, listening to, and addressing user needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with customers, engineering, and the data teams to ensure a seamless user experience while aligning the product roadmap with strategic goals. This role requires active customer engagement and data-driven decision-making.
Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and evolve the Voice AI roadmap aligned with Intron’s strategic goals.
- Translate user needs (doctors, enterprises, call-centers, etc.) into Voice AI product priorities.
- Track global benchmarks in speech recognition (STT), LLMs, and healthcare AI and adapt them to LMIC contexts.
Execution & Delivery- Lead cross-functional squads (Engineering, Data Science, Design, Operations) to deliver product milestones.
- Drive experiments, pilots, and feature launches (accuracy tuning, latency reduction, multilingual support, hardware bundles, etc.).
- Own KPIs: STT accuracy, latency, adoption, ROI proof points, and user satisfaction.
Voice AI Innovation- Collaborate with research partners to localize models (African accents, noisy environments, medical terms).
- Identify opportunities to integrate with third-party AI tools and extend Intron’s voice stack.
Enterprise Deals: From Scope → Scale- Work closely with Partnerships & Business Development to shape enterprise deals.
- Translate pilot learnings into repeatable, scalable solutions for enterprise clients (insurers, call centers, hospital systems).
- Build frameworks to move quickly from proof-of-concept to scale-up deployments, ensuring adoption, impact, and commercial success.
Stakeholder & Market Alignment- Co-design solutions with doctors, nurses, and frontline users.
- Engage with enterprise stakeholders to adapt Voice AI for productivity and compliance use-cases.
- Ensure product-market fit through continuous user and market feedback loops.
Leadership & Growth- Champion a user-first, data-driven, and fast-iteration culture at Intron.
Our Ideal Candidate has:
- 3+ years of experience in product management.
- a track record of innovation– searching, curating, generating, and adapting ideas to solve new problems in uncharted territory
- Exposure to data intensive, machine learning or LLM/AI products is a plus but not required.
- Strong customer engagement skills and the ability to travel.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams and managing data-driven projects.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- A keen eye for detail, diving into the minutiae to unearth easily overlooked problems
- Familiarity with voice technology, or transcription solutions is a plus.
- Not in this for the money (because we’re obviously a seed-stage startup, we don’t have it) but is ready to co-invest sweat, time, and effort for outsized returns in the future

About the Founder
Tobi Olatunji is a physician turned Machine Learning Scientist with a passion for Global Health.
Tobi’s journey to starting Intron is nothing short of epic. He’s worked with big names like AWS Health AI, Enlitic Inc., and Cambia Health Solutions building intelligent Natural Language processing tools for healthcare used in Australia, Brazil, Canada, Japan, UK, and the US. Now, he’s on the Advisory Board at Harvard’s OpenNotes Lab, pushing for responsible AI in healthcare. His research spans accented speech recognition, algorithmic bias, and more, with publications in top machine learning conferences like NeurIPS, Interspeech, and EMNLP.
With a mix of medical and tech degrees, including an MBBS, an MSc in Medical Informatics, and MSc in Computer Science at Georgia Tech, a certificate in Healthcare Management from Yale School of Management, plus three US tech patents, Tobi is a true innovator. He’s also a key member of the Commonwealth AI Consortium and the Research Director at Bio-RAMP Labs.
