Employment type:

A full-time employee who believes in our mission and is willing to grow with the company.

Job Overview:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager who can enter a live, complex pipeline from day one and start moving deals forward immediately. You will work directly under the Head of Enterprise & Partnerships, owning named accounts, unlocking stalled deals, and driving new revenue across enterprise, government, and partner channels. This is not a relationship-management role. This is a closing role.
If you need hand-holding, a slow ramp, or extensive internal buy-in before you act, this role is not for you. If you thrive in high-velocity, multi-stakeholder, documentation-heavy deal environments and love closing, read on.

What You Will Own

  • Own a portfolio of named enterprise accounts from first conversation to signed commercial agreement and beyond
  • Unlock stalled deals in the pipeline:  diagnose blockers (technical, legal, commercial, stakeholder) and resolve them fast
  • Drive MOU execution, SOW structuring, SLA negotiations, and commercial close across healthcare, fintech, government, BPO, and telecom verticals
  • Build and maintain a meticulously documented pipeline tracker with accurate deal stages, forecasts, revenue projections, and activity logs within our internal tool
  • Lead multi-stakeholder engagements  from C-suite and government officials to technical leads and legal teams  often simultaneously on the same deal
  • Identify and develop new revenue opportunities via outbound prospecting, events, warm introductions, and partner channels
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, operations and finance to unblock deals and deliver on commitments
  • Produce high-quality documentation: proposals, capability statements, pitch decks, pricing frameworks, and post-meeting briefs without waiting to be asked
  • Deploy AI and automation tools to systematize outreach, follow-up sequences, CRM hygiene, meeting prep, and reporting workflows
  • Support partnership development with systems integrators, distributors, and reseller networks
  • Represent Intron at industry events, government stakeholder meetings, and client engagements with appropriate gravitas and authority
  • Upsell new opportunities to existing manned accounts to drive revenue

Who You Are

Mandatory traits |  non-negotiable:

  • You are a born closer. You can point to specific deals you opened, moved, and shut with receipts. Quota attainment, deal value, and close rate are numbers you know off the top of your head.
  • You are radically self-aware. You know what you know and do not claim what you don’t know, you ask the right questions, and you course-correct without being told.
  • You are a documentation obsessive. You write clear, well-structured emails, proposals, trackers, and briefs. Your output raises the quality of the room.
  • You are automation-first. You don’t do manually what a tool can do smarter. You have strong opinions about how AI, CRM workflows, and productivity tools should be used to run BD at scale.
  • You are agile under pressure. You can manage 20 accounts at different stages simultaneously, hit your follow-up cadences, and never let a deal go cold due to internal inaction.
  • You can handle ambiguity. Intron operates at the edge of an emerging market. You bring structure not paralysis  when the playbook doesn’t exist yet or is being written.
  • You can build and are AI savvy

You will thrive here if you:

  • Have 4–8 years of B2B sales or BD experience, ideally in at least two of or have sold to : Telecoms, Healthcare Technology, BPO/CX, Enterprise SaaS, Government, Technology Consulting , Enterprise Technology sales or AI/Voice Technology
  • Have closed deals above $100K USD or equivalent in enterprise or government contracts in months
  • Are comfortable writing, reading and commenting on MOUs, NDAs, SLAs, and commercial agreements even if you’re not the lawyer
  • Understand how government procurement works in Nigeria and/or at least one other African market
  • Have worked with or sold to hospitals, health agencies, financial institutions, telecom operators, BPOs, Tier 1 Law firms, Enterprise Technology sales or government ministries
  • Know your way around a CRM (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) and can build your own pipeline hygiene system if one doesn’t exist
  • Are fluent in forecasting and revenue projection:  you can build a pipeline model in a spreadsheet and defend it in a CEO meeting
  • Are comfortable using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Notion AI, etc.) as daily work instruments, not novelties
  • Are based in Lagos or willing to be, with flexibility to travel for client visits and government engagements across Nigeria

Bonus Points

  • Prior experience selling voice AI, speech technology, clinical AI, or conversational automation products
  • Existing networks in Nigerian federal or state government health ministries, NHIA, NPHCDA, or similar agencies
  • Experience with USAID, Gates Foundation, World Bank, or development finance institution procurement processes
  • Familiarity with the African health tech, fintech, or BPO ecosystem :  key players, procurement cycles, and decision structures
  • Experience supporting a legal or compliance-heavy deal process (NDPA/NDPR, GDPR DPAs, CBN/SEC licensing environments)
  • Proficiency in deck creation, business writing, and executive-facing communication
